RIM chiefs cut salaries to $1 to ease investor unrest

Mike Lazaridis and Jim Basillie, who together run Research in Motion (RIM), made the pledge as the company again delivered forecasts that disappointed Wall Street.
The two, who between them own about 10pc of RIM’s shares, were paid $5.1m last year, according to the company’s annual report. About $1.2m was in salary, with the rest coming in stock options and other benefits. More >
